Biography
Employed at Polymer Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. Served as elected member of the Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, President of the Slovak Chemical Society, Chairman of the Czecho-Slovak and Slovak National Committees of Chemistry for IUPAC. Corresponding member of the Central European Academy of Sciences and Academician of the Learned Society of the Slovakia. Author or co-author of two monographs and 300+ scientific papers in extenso published in refereed periodicals, proceedings and chapters of books, as well as 60+ patents (five of them were licensed) - cited more than 3,000x. Presented over 140 invited plenary, key and main lectures, as well as over 900 regular lectures and poster contributions on symposia and conferences, as well as during lecturing tours to over fourty countries. Elected „Slovak scientist of the year 1999“, and „Slovak innovator of the year 2002“.

Biography
MiloÅ¡ NetopilÃk has completed his PhD at the age of 30 years from Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry and postdoctoral studies from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Technical University. Now, he works in Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and works in the theory of separation. He has published more than 68 papers in reputed journals.

Prof. Dr. Esra Küpeli Akkol was born in Turkey. She got her Bachelor of Science degree in Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University, Turkey and got her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacognosy Department from the University of Gazi. She is currently Professor in the Gazi University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacognosy. She served in many capacities in her field including service on several editorial boards and numerous review committees for journals such as Journal of Ethnopharmacology, Journal of Pharmacy Sciences, The Internet Journal of Herbal and Plant Medicine, International Journal of Genuine Traditional Medicine, Advances in Pharmacological Sciences, Evidence Based Complementary Alternative Medicine and The Open Pain Journal. She has conducted 41 projects and 11 thesis in Gazi University. She has 158 published articles in SCI International Journals, 13 articles in National Journals and 10 chapters in International books.
Research Interest
Her research combines pharmacognosy and pharmacological approaches to focus on • Bioassay guided isolation of active constituents - Phytochemistry and Analytical Pharmacognosy • Anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, antirheumatic and antidepressant activities of folk remedies and synthesized compounds • Wound healing assessment of medicinal plants and their secondary metabolites • Isolation of the natural compounds from the medicinal plants used against gynecological disorders • Anti-carcinogenic assessment of medicinal plants and their secondary metabolites.
