Biography
Employed at Polymer Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. Served as elected member of the Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, President of the Slovak Chemical Society, Chairman of the Czecho-Slovak and Slovak National Committees of Chemistry for IUPAC. Corresponding member of the Central European Academy of Sciences and Academician of the Learned Society of the Slovakia. Author or co-author of two monographs and 300+ scientific papers in extenso published in refereed periodicals, proceedings and chapters of books, as well as 60+ patents (five of them were licensed) - cited more than 3,000x. Presented over 140 invited plenary, key and main lectures, as well as over 900 regular lectures and poster contributions on symposia and conferences, as well as during lecturing tours to over fourty countries. Elected „Slovak scientist of the year 1999“, and „Slovak innovator of the year 2002“.

Biography
I’m born in Skopje, Republic North Macedonia in 1982. I received my Ph.D. in pharmaceutical science in 2015 from the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius†and a specialization degree in the field of Heath Sciences (Drug Quality Control). I work as an Assistant Professor of Physical Pharmacy and Instrumental Pharmaceutical Analysis at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius†in Skopje, Macedonia. Besides doing teaching and educational activities, since 2007 I have actively been participating in the work of the Center for Drug Quality Control (full member General European OMCL network). I have been involved in revision of Ph Eur. Monographs, collaborative studies for establishment of reference standards, conducting pharmaceutical analysis and numerous activities connected with the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025. I’ve been active participant of several national projects. I’m an author and coauthor of over 30 research papers. In addition, I’m a reviewer in several international journals with factor of influence.
Research Interest
My scientific-research work is directed towards development of contemporary analytical methods for impurity profile of active substance in different pharmaceutical dosage forms; development of bio-analytical methods, application of multivariate experimental design approach for the method development.
Biography
Rashid Mahmood has Master Degree in Analytical Chemistry and MS in Total Quality Management. He has 15 years of experience of Pharmaceutical Quality Operations and has attended many international conferences as a keynote speaker. He has presented various talks in USA, Canada, UK and UAE on Cleaning Validation, cGMP Guidelines, Quality Risk Management, Role of Mass Spectrometry in Pharmaceuticals and on new Drug Delivery Systems. Currently he is working as a Deputy General Manager Technical Operations for Surge Lab.(Manufacturer of Microencapsulated APIs, Liquid & Dry Powder Parentrals) which is the best export oriented organization of Pakistan.
Research Interest
Rashid Mahmood studied Analytical Chemistry and has completed his MS in Total Quality Management from Punjab University Lahore-Pakistan. He joined Surge Laboratories Private Limited in 2004 and immediately excelled in his executive career track. He is working as DGM Technical Operations in one of the leading pharmaceutical company in Pakistan. His research interests include New Drug Delivery Systems, Quality Risk Management, Cleaning Validation, Microencapsulation, Pharmaceutics & Novel Drug Delivery Systems, Polymer Chemistry, Pharmaceutical cGMP & Hot Melt Extrusion.
